Nceduluntu Wesley Community Project started operating in 2014, funded by a philanthropist with a holiday home close to Wesley Village.  The organisation functions as an incubator for income generation projects that contribute to the socio-economic development of the Wesley community. Two of these projects are craft projects which provide 18 local women with a creative opportunity to earn income through carpet weaving and needle felting pure wool animals.

Nolusizo Weavers’ carpets are woven with mohair blanket selvedge obtained from Hinterveld on vertical wooden looms.  Each weaver creates their own designs and each carpet is unique.  They come in a wide range of beautiful colours and a range of sizes.

The Siyakhula Felters group makes a wide range of domestic and wild animals from pure wool.  Included in the range, are the hugely popular mohair goats.  They are made from solid wool and covered with washed greasy mohair curls.

The founder donor is no longer involved with the project but we receive generous support from LemonAid and ChariTea Foundation in Germany, the Eastern Cape Provincial Arts and Culture Council (ECPACC), Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC), Department of Rural Development and Agrarian Reform, National Arts Council and private donors.
